FAMILY (DE)VALUES
“The two plays feature two casts, but a single director, Mikey DiLoreto, who demonstrates his ability and his range by giving us two very different experiences in look and tone.” (Kilian Melloy, Edge Boston, Aug. 2, 2010)
HMT closed out its inaugural season with two one-act plays, WASP and REFUGE, under the title of Family (de)Values. WASP featured Barbara DiGirolamo, Preston Graveline, Louise Hamill, Marc Harpin, Rory Kulz, Rachel Kurnos, Lizette M. Morris, Kiki Samko, Coriana Hunt Swartz, and Audrey Lynn Sylvia. REFUGE featured Krista D’Agostino, Erika Geller, Nick Miller, and Terry Torres. Both plays were directed by Mikey DiLoreto.
MUSIC FROM A SPARKLING PLANET
“Happy Medium Theatre’s entertaining Music From A Sparkling Planet is sure evidence that you can put on a terrific show with a dime and a dream.” (Kay Bourne, Edge Boston, Jan. 29, 2010)
“The dialogue is clipped and intense, and there is much more there than ever meets the eye.” (Larry Stark, Theater Mirror, Jan. 26, 2010)
“Director Lesley Anne Moreau’s production is remarkable for its economy. There are almost no sets and few sound cues, but she moves the action lucidly between the modern day and the 1970s.” (Jenna Scherer, The Boston Herald, Jan. 26, 2010)
HMT’s sophomore show, Douglas Carter Beane’s “Music From A Sparkling Planet,” was directed by Lesley Anne Moreau and performed at The Factory Theatre in January 2010. The show featured: Mikey DiLoreto, Michael Fisher, Michael Riffle, Victor Shopov, and Audrey Lynn Sylvia.

THE GINGERBREAD LADY

“For such a small space, The Factory Theatre has mounted some commanding productions over its last few seasons; “The Gingerbread Lady” is a standout to add to that list.” -Kilian Melloy of Edge, Boston (9/13/09)
“The Happy Medium Theatre Company is a gutsy new company willing to take as many risks as Neil Simon lets them (and Director Mikey DiLoreto needs praise for letting, forcing them to do this show justice). But there’s only one week-end left for you to find out how good they really are.
Go!” -Larry Stark, TheaterMirror (9/16/09)
“As tough-talking as Bette Davis’ Margo Channing in “All About Eve” one moment and yet poignantly conflicted the next [Crystal] Lisbon’s Evy alone makes Simon’s flawed but heartfelt drama worth seeing.” -Jules Becker, The Jewish Advocate (9/17/09)
HMT’s inaugural full-length production, Neil Simon’s “The Gingerbread Lady,” was directed by Mikey DiLoreto and performed at The Factory Theatre in September 2009. The show featured: Mike Budwey, Michael Fisher, Crystal Lisbon, Lesley Anne Moreau, Victor Shopov, and Audrey Lynn Sylvia.
